Look for the cream-and-gold sign hanging under the canopy, below the building's big KALĀKAUA lettering — blue doors, lava rock out front. Inside: the bar rail, the dining room, and a lava-rock lanai out back.
Staying at the Waikīkī Monarch? You are a 3‑minute walk away — up Niu Street to Kalākaua and back along the canal.
Parking Nearby
- Ala Wai Boulevard — free street parking, 24 hours, right alongside us. Street sweeping is Monday and Friday mornings (8:30 – 11:30 AM) and they do tow — but we are closed Mondays and open at two, so it will not catch you on a visit.
- Kalākaua Avenue and the side streets — metered stalls within a block or two. Read the sign on the pole; hours vary by block.
- Waikīkī Shopping Plaza, 2250 Kalākaua Ave — the nearest public garage, about a 10‑minute walk. Open 6:30 AM – midnight.
The Hawaiʻi Convention Center garage a block away is closed for renovation until 2027 — please do not plan on it.

The kitchen fires at three and runs to ten, and the bar keeps going past it on event nights. Brunch Sundays run to their own clock — doors and the bar at ten, the kitchen from eleven — and not every Sunday is one; the next date is on The Letter Room.
